Hi there, for those who don't know me from Twitter yet ( tongotongo_au), I'm Jens, 46, live in Melbourne, came from Germany a while ago. I lived in Berlin for many years prior to moving to Oz, traveled a fair bit in my life. I enjoy movies, books, music, our two cats and traveling. Obvioulsy (you probably can hear the German accent even here), English is not my first language. So some of my comments may seem odd. I simply might not have understood what was going on. Just ask for clarification then. If you, Rob, want to make sure that also non-English readers get it, take these things serioulsy. If you don't care, then ignore them. I'm also very direct, which might be part of my German nature. I won't say things like "Oh this is nice, but maybe..." or "I don't think that's a good idea", I'd rather tell you what I like and what I don't. It's my personal view, so of course I don't mind anyone having and articualting her or his different opinion either. But so far I liked the book anyway and the things I point out are intended to help make it even better and not to critisise for the sake of critisising. Anything else you need to know? Just ask please. Now let's enjoy the read. Cheers!

WELCOME! Thank you for the input. (The narrator/voice is a tad snarky. I was going to amp that up, actually ... like the comments about how it couldn't get worse before ch3 and we all know what happens in ch3) -r Maybe we can get someone to volunteer to create a German translation. Now who may volunteer for that, I wonder. -=-

The world is full of wonders, isn't it. Or did I miss something in translation? Hehe...
