***ADMIN/Author***Hello Tyzmoniacs (ok, may not ever use that again) Here's what's going on vis-a-vis the Halloween 'release' and pricing. So, I have an Amazon.com author page (and a rough edit of the first half is already for sale there as an ebook). On Halloween, I'll put the whole thing into Createspace (to make physical books) and update the ebook presence. -r PS: Likely to have the first half updated to coincide w book 'release' (KDP/Amazon will call it a second edition) and also sell the second half separately as well. This will mean I'll lower the price of the first half (so that it'll be $10.31 -- a discount to commemorate the Halloween release -- combined). Ultimately, the whole book will be $9.99 because Amazon likes books to be ten bucks. Which means I'll likely shoot the first half's price way down ($2.99) and have the second half be the difference ($9.99 - $2.99 = $7; likely $6.95 -- a discount for buying them separately) Mebe giving ppl a discount for buying them separately is a bad idea. Let me know. Or... or I'll make the first half ninety-nine cents and the second half $9 even and whole book $9.99. If you have your price higher than $9.99 -- for those who don't know -- KDP/Kindle gives you a 30% 'royalty' payment. At or below $9.99, it's 70%. You see the situation, yes? ***ADMIN/Author*** Cutting the book in half to make two separate ebooks for Amazon is kind of a pain in the ass. I don't think I should give a discount for having to do extra work.
In fact, the second half and the whole book could be the same price for all I care: Pay me ten bucks or I won't tell you the ending! -r -=-
